Our team
Harris Iqbal has been providing specialist executive support to charities working across the world. He previously served as the Interim CEO of international humanitarian charity, Penny Appeal, during which he set into motion a 5 year strategy and led the digital transformation of the organisation during the Covid pandemic resulting in a year-on-year 30% increase in income. Harris has served in leadership roles spanning both the health and education sectors as well as in NGOs and local government over the last decade.
He has extensive experience creating and managing complex, multi-level partnerships with a focus on developing diverse, high impact and sustainable programme solutions. As the former CEO of a charity focused on domestic and sexual abuse, he has designed and developed outreach programmes, clinical counselling services as well as advocacy, early intervention and prevention schemes. He is a recognised industry leader with a deep insight into challenges and trends within the development sector, with a particular skill set in reaching out to and understanding the needs and trends within BAMER communities.
Harris has led multi-million pound projects, with teams consisting of over 100 members of staff in the UK as well as multiple field offices around the world. He has implemented projects spanning several different time zones and operating across diverse cultures and challenging contexts including war, famine and natural disaster. His portfolio of experience includes both emergency relief, including responding to COVID-19 at home and abroad, as well as long term humanitarian and welfare solutions. By way of example, Harris’ work in the UK in the wake of the Grenfell Fire tragedy was recognised by the Mayor of London and highlighted by HM The Queen.
